“It won’t hurt to rest my poor old eyes, ” Jocko said, rubbing his eyes. “I’ll hear them if anything goes wrong.”

Jocko heard a  child’s yelling. Then another and another.  They were happy sounds. . .  the boys were chasing each other around playing. All was well in his world. He closed his eyes and laid his head down on the sand.

As the month comes to a close and the PiBoIdMo challenge is wrapped up, my brain isn’t slowing down. In light of that phenomenon, I’ve decided to extend my idea submission into the first week of December.

Not as a part of the PiBoIdMo challenge but as a challenge to myself. I just hate the idea of not writing down the extra ideas and I really like the feeling that I am getting from the new ideas.

“I can do this,” Chelsea whispered, waving to her mom and dad. She took a long deep breath. She crouched down, then sprang forward. She ran as fast as she could and leapt into the air.

Smack! Thump! The little reindeer’s legs spread apart and her nose hit the ground.

“Ouch,” cried Chelsea, picking up her head. “Time to try again.”

“Chelsea honey,” Mom said, “now will you please quit. You’re going to get hurt.”

Albert cocked his head to the side.

His ear lifted up. He listened to the sound.

Albert’s left eye opened a little. He watched  a tiny animal creep closer.

“Thankful’s my name. Singing praises is my game,”

said Dainty Daisy as she spread her own special

dose of  Thansksgiving Day cheer.

“How can I be thankful,” whined Petula Pendergraff, “My Dad is sick. “

As always a special thanks goes out to Alice Smith @clipart4resale for her wonderful graphics. Not only is she a talented graphic artist but she is the best sister.

Salty ambled down Trustworthy Lane. He peeked at the writing on the wall.  He noticed 6 pillars. What is this all about? he wondered.

“Hey new boy. Follow me,” said a girl. “I’m Gema.”

“What are all those signs and stuff on the wall?” asked Salty

MONSTERS! ORGES! PARTY! is what Cassidy read on the poster her mom had just stapled to the telephone post. She shook her bow and moaned.

“All the things that I dislike the most,” whimpered Cassidy. “What am I going to do now?”

“Do what any good ghost would do! Join the party,” replied Izzy, her older sister.

hippoZuZu dunked her head down under the water with only her eyes showing. All the noise in the grasslands had scared her.

Mama had scream for her to get into the water.

Being a good hippo, she had scrambled down the river bed and into the water.

“Stand still,” ordered Isabella, raising her net above her shoulder.  “Don’t move a muscle. There’s a snake loose in here. ”

“Aren’t you scared?” asked Isabella. snake

“Nope,” replied the girl. “I like snakes.

Daylo shook her striped head and snorted, calling for her family.  Where was Mama, her baby sister Delphina and all the other zebras?

Where was Johnny, her keeper? He’d know what was happening.

My Favorites:

I love the children's movies Wizard of Oz and the Neverending Story. Both movies make me feel the lesson that hope is alive and well. After seeing UP this past week, it just might have a chance at being added to this list.

I love the cool colors of blues and purples. Those colors are peaceful for me.

I love The Velveteen Rabbit. Even as an adult, I still feel the urge to cry when he becomes real. I know, silly, but a good book can make me laugh and cry as it takes me on a magical journey.
