I’ve been meaning to put this on the blog for some time and stuff just keeps coming up.
Recently my niece and I worked on getting some different pictures of me to put on my blog. Here is one that I like. It’s me… not Laura or Carol.
Here is the 3rd part of my thoughts on their presentation.
1. Another mistake that some writers make is that they start their story before they should. For example starting the story at a part where the character isn’t doing anything-like as they wake up. It wastes time, and the writer’s word count without advancing the plot. It drags the story down.
2. A suggestion made is for writers to avoid info dumps in their first pages. Incorporate the necessary facts into a later chapter if you can. It bogs the story done.
3. Trends that usually don’t work for a writer:
a. alcohoic moms and dads
b. absent parents
c. parents of MC being writers.
